About Dr. Clark
Rachael A. Clark, MD is a board-certified general surgeon dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care in a community setting. She believes that surgical care should feel clear, collaborative, and respectful—where patients feel informed, heard, and comfortable with their decisions every step of the way.
Dr. Clark completed her medical education at New York University and her surgical residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she trained at Parkland Memorial Hospital, one of the nation’s highest-volume and most rigorous surgical centers. She has additional clinical experience in pediatric surgery through a three-year research fellowship that included operative and call responsibilities, shaping her ability to care for both adult and select pediatric patients.
Her clinical practice includes general surgery, minimally invasive procedures, and endoscopy, with particular interests in hernia repair, gallbladder disease, skin and soft tissue conditions, and gastrointestinal evaluation. She also provides care for common breast concerns and has a special interest in lactation-related conditions such as mastitis and breast abscesses.
Dr. Clark’s approach to care is grounded in clear communication and respect for each patient’s experience. She takes time to explain options, answer questions, and tailor care plans to the individual—recognizing that medical experiences can feel overwhelming and that patients deserve to feel in control and supported throughout the process.
Originally from a small town in upstate New York, Dr. Clark is passionate about bringing high-quality, up-to-date surgical care to community hospitals. She is committed to making specialized care more accessible while maintaining the level of thoughtfulness and attention often associated with larger academic centers.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Clark enjoys spending time with her two children, baking, crafting and painting.
